If you live, work, invest, or have family in both the US and the UK, your financial life should not be managed in pieces. We help coordinate your finances across both countries, so decisions about investments, retirement, and estate planning work together toward your long-term goals.
We help people whose financial lives stretch across the UK and the US, and we came to this work because we have lived it ourselves. Moving between two financial systems that were never designed to work together is something we understand first-hand, not just on paper. That is exactly why we built a practice around it.
We believe you are better served by a team than a single point of contact. Damien leads the advice and planning. Myles looks after the client experience, keeping everything clear, organised, and easy to follow, and we are both qualified in the UK and the US. Damien is also a senior partner of Rosefinch Investment Advisors, an independent, technology-driven firm with more than 100 years of combined advisory experience behind it. That independence is important. It gives us the freedom to look across the market and build advice around your unique situation, rather than from a shelf of in-house products.
Damien is a dual US and Irish citizen who has built his own life on both sides of the Atlantic, so the practical and emotional side of moving between two systems is something he knows first-hand. With over 15 years of experience as an investment adviser, he holds the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS) and qualifications from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI), following a degree in political science from the University of South Florida. As your lead adviser he works with you to build your financial plans and investment selection, while working closely with Myles from start to finish.
Damien lives just outside Philadelphia, PA with his wife, two-year-old daughter, and English bulldog. He follows Fulham F.C. and the Philadelphia Phillies.
Great advice is not just a good plan. It is a plan delivered clearly, supported properly, and built around your life on both sides of the Atlantic.
Born in Essex, England, Myles has been coming to the US since he was eighteen, when he first worked at summer camps in Maine. A year studying abroad at Towson University turned that into a lasting connection. With over seven years of experience, he holds the Series 65 qualification and the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (DipPFS). Working alongside Damien, he keeps sight of the broader picture and makes sure everything is clear and well organised for clients across their UK and US financial planning.
Away from work, Myles is a committed Baltimore Ravens and Orioles fan. He is a keen horse racing fan who rarely misses the Cheltenham Festival, and a lover of seventies and eighties rock, with Rush, Iron Maiden and Big Country among his favourites and a growing vinyl collection to match.
Good advice should be open, honest, and easy to understand. My job is to make sure you always know not just what we are doing, but why.
Whatever brought you here, the goal tends to be the same: one coordinated plan that holds together on both sides, so nothing you have built in the UK is left behind or quietly working against you in the US. If any of the situations below feel familiar, you are in the right place.
You are building a life in America but still hold UK pensions, property, or savings. We keep both sides coordinated so nothing is left stranded across the water.
You have worked in the US for a while and are planning the move back. We line up your US and UK finances so the transition is smooth, not a last-minute scramble.
Your citizenship, family, or assets straddle both countries. You want one team holding the whole picture, with no decision made in isolation from the other side.
I have lived this myself. I know what it is like to land somewhere new and be told the bank account you have always used does not really work for you any more, now that you are away from the UK. Sorting out those moments, and making sure the rest of your finances hold together wherever you are, is a lot of what we do.
Damien Hanly
We treat your UK and US finances as one plan, not two separate files, so every decision is weighed for how it lands on both sides. Living between two systems can pull your finances in opposite directions, and advice built for one country often misses the other. Here is where we help.
UK pensions (SIPPs, workplace, and final-salary schemes) planned alongside US retirement accounts like 401(k)s and IRAs, including the entitlements people often leave behind, such as the UK State Pension and US Social Security.
Your UK and US holdings managed together, around a risk level you actually understand, with every decision made mindful of the other side, so one position never quietly works against the other.
We help ensure decisions in one country do not create unintended consequences in the other, and work alongside your tax advisers on both sides.
The right cover in place so that, whatever happens, the people who depend on you are looked after, in the UK and the US alike.
With your whole picture in one place and kept up to date, we keep an eye on the plan as life and markets move, adjusting as your goals and your comfort with risk change, rather than setting it and forgetting it.
Most people are used to a single adviser. With us you get two, so there is always someone who knows your situation, you always know exactly who you are speaking to, and everything is explained in plain language.
No pressure and no jargon. We only move forward when it makes sense for both of us. Here is what the journey looks like.
A casual conversation to get to know each other. We take the time to understand what matters to you, your circumstances and priorities, and the shape of your current arrangements. No cost, and no obligation to go further.
We review your situation and share our initial perspective: where you are well positioned, where there is room to do better, and how we would approach any changes worth making.
Only once you are comfortable with everything we have discussed, and we fully understand what you are looking for, do we move into a complete review and set out the areas to take forward together.

If we both decide it is a fit, we get you set up on our technology, your financial dashboard and planning tools, and put ongoing review and monitoring in place, so your plan stays on track as life and markets change.
We pair experienced advice with leading financial technology, so your whole picture lives in one modern, easy-to-use place, and you can be as hands-on and involved as you like.
Most people track their accounts across a handful of spreadsheets and old statements, if at all. Instead, we bring everything into one clear, up-to-date view, with a full breakdown of your exposure, holdings, and performance, so nothing sits forgotten in a drawer.
A lot of planning still runs on rough rules of thumb and back-of-the-envelope assumptions. We plan properly, and we build your UK side in too, because a plan that leaves your UK pensions and assets behind is an incomplete one. You can see exactly how the numbers move and feel confident the plan actually fits.
Risk is too often boiled down to a paper questionnaire and a vague label like ‘balanced’. Instead we pinpoint your risk score on a clear scale, then make sure your portfolio actually matches it, so the risk you are taking is one you have understood and agreed to.
